【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminewearpropertiesandcoefficientoffrictionoflubricatinggreasesatselectedtemperaturesandloadsspecifiedforuseinapplicationswherehigh-speedvibrationalorstart-stopmotionsarepresentforextendedperiodsoftimeunderinitialhighHertzianpointcontactpressures.Thistestmethodhasfoundapplicationinqualifyinglubricatinggreasesusedinconstantvelocityjointsoffront-wheel-driveautomobilesandforlubricatinggreasesusedinrollerbearings.Usersofthistestmethodshoulddeterminewhetherresultscorrelatewithfieldperformanceorotherapplications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingalubricatinggrease''scoefficientoffrictionanditsabilitytoprotectagainstwearwhensubjectedtohigh-frequency,linear-oscillationmotionusinganSRVtestmachineatatestloadof200N,frequencyof50Hz,strokeamplitudeof1.00mm,durationof2h,andtemperaturewithintherangeofthetestmachine,specifically,ambientto280C.Othertestloads(10to1200NforSRVI-model,10to1400NforSRVII-model,and10to2000NforSRVIII-model),frequencies(5to500Hz)andstrokeamplitudes(0.1upto4.0mm)canbeused,ifspecified.Theprecisionofthistestmethodisbasedonthestatedparametersandtesttemperaturesof50and80C.Averagewearscardimensionsonballandcoefficientoffrictionaredeterminedandreported.OptimolInstrumentssuppliesanupgradekittoallowSRVI/II-machinestooperatewith1600N,ifneeded.1.2Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedfordeterminingafluidlubricant''sabilitytoprotectagainstwearanditscoefficientoffrictionundersimilartestconditions.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
