【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationdescribesthepropertiesofcold,liquid-applied,singleormulti-component,chemicallycuring,elastomericsealantsusedasthesecondarysealofsealedinsulatingglassunits,hereinafterreferredtoasthe"sealant"(seeFig.1).Thesesealantsareintendedtobeastructuralcomponentofsealedinsulatingglass(IG)unitsusedinstructuralsealantglazing(hereinafterreferredtoasSSG).TypicaldesignsandconsiderationscanbefoundinGuideC1249.PresentlyonlycertainsiliconesealantsarerecognizedashavingthenecessarydurabilityforuseassecondarysealantinIGunitsinSSGapplications.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotdescribeallofthenecessarypropertiesofthesealant.OnlythosepropertiesforwhichthereareASTMtestmethodsandindustry-agreed-uponminimumacceptabletestrequirementsaredescribedbythisspecification.AdditionalpropertieswillbeaddedasASTMtestmethodsforthesepropertiesbecomeavailable.1.3Thisspecificationonlyaddressesthedurabilityofthesecondaryedgesealantsforstructurallyglazedinsulatingglassunits.DurabilityofsealedinsulatingglassunitscanbefoundinspecificationsandguidesthatresidewithinASTMCommitteeE06.1.4Thecommitteewithjurisdictionforthisstandardisnotawareofanycomparablestandardpublishedbyotherorganizations.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationpurposesonly.
